EGG DONATION
Egg donation is a noble gesture on behalf of the women who step forward to donate for a monetary benefit. It is to be dealt with in utmost confidentiality and should ensure minimal or no risks to women who donate. We are associated with an authorized NGO who form a link between the egg donors and us. We screen these donors and personalize the care for the intending couples.
Donors at GG Hospital fulfill all criteria that are norms in the ICMR/ART guidelines. A well-informed consent is taken after donors attend counseling sessions to make themselves aware of what to expect in the program including hyperstimulation and its risks and the need for hospitalization.
We have had an impeccable record until date where selection process and screening is concerned and of course, our success rates prove to show consistency with world-class centers
At GG Hospital, we ensure safety and efficiency every step of the way in selecting ideally matched egg donors. First, let’s take a quick look at who needs the egg donor program.
The egg donation program is offered for the following situations:
- Poor ovarian response
- Premature or primary ovarian failure-Genetic or acquired
- Multiple failures using own eggs which have been deemed of poor quality and failed fertilization
- Genetic conditions like Turner’s syndrome where there is an infantile uterus that can be grown and there is a need for donor eggs since the ovaries have failed
- Women who have attained menopause and wish to conceive (but they need to be 50 years or below-we do not take women older than 50 for treatment)
- Genetic conditions that result in a physically appearing female but with a male karyotype (46XY- Testicular feminization syndrome) who will not possess reproductive organs and needs a combination of egg donation and surrogacy to bear a child with her husband’s sperms
